Our journey started in 2016, when we opened a little kiosk in North London, fueled by a simple idea-serve great speciality coffee to the London commute. Because even the city's hustlers need to hit pause for a quality brew (and some brekky).
Tucked away in the heart if the urban rush, our kiosk became a go-to spot for locals and commuters-a place where a flat white came with a chat, and mornings felt just a little smoother. We weren't about fancy setups or pretentious vibes-just good coffee, good people, and a genuine love for the craft.
From that one small space, we grew. But no matter how many doors we open, we'll always stay true to what started it all: making speciality coffee accessible, simple, and damn good.

In 2016, Huw Wardrope set out to bring a taste of Australian-style specialty coffee to London, launching the first Urban Baristas kiosk in North London. Inspired by the laid-back café culture of Sydney, Huw wanted to create a space where great coffee and good vibes came first—a place where commuters could grab a specialty brew without the fuss.
What started as a small kiosk quickly grew into a community. Urban Baristas became a go-to spot for quality coffee, simple com- forts, and a no-nonsense approach to café culture. Over the years, the brand has expanded across London, proving that specialty coffee should be effortless, accessible, and always top quality.
Now, Huw is taking Urban Baristas to the next level-franchising the brand to bring great coffee and Aussie-inspired café culture to even more neighborhoods. By partnering with passionate coffee lovers, Urban Baristas is growing beyond its original locations, making it easier than ever for people to grab a flat white done right.
